New Property regulator responsible for licencing all property service providers

New Property regulator responsible for licencing all property service providers

The National Property Services Regulatory Authority (NPSRA) has confirmed they are now responsible for licencing all property service providers.  The licences for auctioneers, estate agents and letting agents expire each year on the 6th of July and this year the NPRSA will dealing with the issuing of licences.

The new licences are required by everyone in Ireland providing property services including services that were not previously covered by the old licencing system. Proof of property experience, educational information and insurance are now required to obtain a licence.

It is great news that finally there is more regulation on property services and overall the new regulation should protect consumers and reduce problems of the past due to the lack of regulation. You can find more information on regulator at www.psr.ie
